Getting there
Where you meet her
The Day Boat departs from Mosman, near the Spit Bridge. Paid parking is usually available close by, with free parking about a five-minute walk away on Pearl Bay Road. We meet you at the boat, run through the controls, the harbour map and the safety gear, and stay with you until you’re comfortable.
The whole of Sydney Harbour is open to you — you just can’t head outside Sydney Heads.
The Bridge and the Opera House are a long cruise from Mosman, about an hour and a quarter each way, and past Middle Head the water is open to wind and swell. We check conditions every morning and the briefing tells you how far you can go that day. For a Bridge trip, book a full day and start early, or take Frankie or Marlow from Double Bay, about 20 minutes away.

Do I need a licence?
No. No licence is needed for this boat. You drive it yourself after a full briefing on the day — no test and no paperwork.
How many people can come?
Up to 6 guests.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes — this boat is pet-friendly. Just let us know when you book.
What if it rains?
There is a full canopy with sides and an inside cabin with seating, so light rain rarely stops a trip.
Can we swim?
Yes. There is a swim ladder off the back and dozens of sheltered spots to anchor.
Can we bring our own food and drinks?
Yes, and there is no BYO fee. There is a lunch table on board.
Can we take it to the Harbour Bridge?
Yes, on a full day with a morning start, if conditions allow. It’s about an hour and a quarter each way, so on a 3-hour hire we suggest Middle Harbour instead: Balmoral, Chinamans Beach and Clontarf are close and sheltered.
