Self drive fishing · Sydney Harbour
Drive yourself, pick your own spot and stay as long as the fish are biting. No boat licence needed, and no skipper deciding when you head back.
The boats
All of our no-licence boats can be taken fishing. You bring your own rods and tackle — we do not supply gear — and you drive yourself, so you fish where you want and stay as long as you like.

BBQ pontoon
A flat, stable platform that barely moves at anchor — and a BBQ on board for whatever you land. Takes eight.
Where the fish are
The bays around Middle Harbour are the reliable option — sheltered, close, and productive on most days. Grotto Point is another regular favourite and an easy run from Mosman.
We mark the spots on your harbour map at the briefing and tell you honestly where has been working lately, rather than handing you a generic chart.
Bring your own gear. We do not provide rods, tackle or bait. Everything else — fuel, safety equipment, shade and the briefing — is included.
No licence
A skippered fishing charter puts someone else in charge of where you go and when you come back. Self-drive does not. You pick the spot, you decide how long to stay, and if it is not producing you move.
No boat licence is required on any of these boats. You will need a NSW recreational fishing licence to fish, which you arrange yourself — it takes a couple of minutes online.
